ituated close to downtown Springhill, across from All Saints Hospital, this modern, state of the art building has 56 beds in total -- forty-five level two nursing home beds, ten beds for Department of Veteran Affairs, as well as one respite bed. We provide you with the freedom of independent living and the comfort and security of around-the-clock professional care.

Our fee includes many services and amenities, including 3 nutritious meals per day, daily housekeeping and laundry services, 24 hour security and numerous activities planned for your enjoyment. As well, we will do our best to meet any requests you might have.

Resident Services & Amenities
We have a recreation coordinator who organizes a variety of social and special events for the benefit of the residents. She has an active group of volunteers you may wish to join.
Physiotherapy is available through the local hospital or through home physio.
Blood collection may be done through out-patients, or in-house for a small fee.
V.O.N. services are available in-house, for a small fee
Appointments outside the facility may be required from time to time. Transportation can be arranged for an additional charge.
A parking area is provided for the benefit of the families- to the left of the building and next to the adjacent buildings. Fire lanes are to be kept free at all times.

Comfortable Surroundings
Things you may want to bring from home to make your stay more comfortable may include:
A favorite chair
Pictures for the wall
a family photo album
a favorite quilt or bed spread
Bedroom furniture is provided but you may wish to use some of your own.
A TV, clock or radio

All electrical appliances brought into the home must be approved by the maintenance person. A new directive from the Department of Health restricts the use of heating pads.

We recommend that each resident have between 6-8 changes of clothes, a coat for each season, good shoes as well as sleep wear and underclothes will be needed.

Laundry is done in house, unless family would prefer to take things home to launder. It would be helpful if you would mark all items of clothing prior to admission. This ensures the safe return of all items from laundry.

Visiting hours are not restricted as long as residents privacy is respected during personal care.

Residents may retain their personal doctor or if necessary our house doctor will be appointed.

Please remember, all the residents’ medications are closely monitored, so please do not bring any medications from home. Home remedies may be in conflict with what the doctor has prescribed and could cause the resident considerable discomfort.

Dietary Services
All menus are approved by the staff dietician
There is a five week rotation menu which provides variety without too much repetition.
Input from residents comes in a variety of ways: the residents council, consultation with the dietician, and resident care conferences.
Special diets will be arranged by the dietician. Food preferences and dislikes will be taken into consideration.
We serve three meals a day, with nourishment also mid-morning, mid-afternoon and bedtime lunch.
Food should not be left in rooms without staff knowing about it. The resident may be on a special diet and extra items of food could exceed their caloric need.
